Ernie- 6yr 15h blue roan draft cross gelding that is just about as cute as they come. Ernie is another one that has all the fancy buttons! He is western broke with all the fancy stuff. Sliding stop, spins, side pass, etc. He neck reins and just is super duper well broke. He also drives, trail rides and so much more. We have ridden him with the flag, jumped in the cross country field, jumps around courses in the ring and is just doing super cute flatwork!
Ernie is just the most adorable fun sporty package but also quite fancy. He is just one that makes such a great shape. He is athletic but sensible. He is really coming along as more of an "english horse." He can do really nice flatwork and is such a cute mover. He has also proved to be extremely fun to jump. So willing and just brave as you could ask one on being introduced to all new jumps. He really makes a lovely shape. Pops off natural changes. Just quiet and rideable! He is the type that inspires confidence with riders who might be a bit fearful just because he just goes to the ride you give him. If you want all the buttons, he is happy to give them all to you. If you want to just do a little jog/lope around he is happy to do that as well. He doesn't get worried if you grip/kick/pull. He will go on a longer rein or into the contact. If you are nervous he doesn't feed off that.
Ernie has been great for shipping, clipping, baths, grooming, tacking, mounting and all the things. I think he is just ultra cool. Ernie is not 100% convinced people are cool but I do think that is just a bit of his personality. He is much more convinced now that when he arrived but he isn't one that is likely going to run up to you in the field. Now if you have food...he will be right there because Ernie lives for food :) We are winning him over with treats but I am just saying he isn't the warmest fuzziest type.
